Walking the Path: Hindu and Christian Perspectives on the Spiritual Journey
I was so glad to join historian of religion and the Harrington Spear Paine Professor of Religion at Princeton University, Professor Elaine Pagels, for a beautiful discussion about our experiences with faith – and, why we should undertake a spiritual journey when there’s so much else going on in the world around us!
We spent a beautiful hour together in the program, Walking the Path: Hindu and Christian Perspectives on the Spiritual Journey, describing the lives that we led leading up to our awakening and detailing the moment that the spark of enlightenment was granted to us. It was truly such a moving and wonderful discussion!
We discussed our books – Professor Pagels most recent work, “Why Religion?: A Personal Story” and my own memoir, “Hollywood to the Himalayas: A Journey of Healing and Transformation” – and were so pleased to contribute to the Hindu Life Program of the Office of Religious Life at Princeton. Great thanks to Assistant Dean, Vineet Chander, who beautifully-moderated the event!
